What's the difference between TMR and Hall Effect sensors?
Both read magnetic switches, but TMR reads across a perpendicular sensing plane rather than just field strength. That gives sharper actuation accuracy at 0.005mm, lower power draw, and steadier readings whether the board is wired or wireless.
Can I use regular mechanical switches on this board?
Yes. The PCB is hot-swap compatible with 5-pin MX mechanical switches as well as magnetic switches, so you can mix switch types across the board without soldering or adapters.
Do I need special switches for Rapid Trigger to work?
Rapid Trigger and the other magnetic-only features (Dynamic Keystrokes, adjustable actuation) require magnetic switches such as the Kailh Aurora or Akko Prism. Mechanical switches will still work but operate as standard fixed-actuation keys.
How long does the battery last?
The 10,000mAh battery is rated for weeks of typical daily use on a single charge, thanks to the lower power draw of the TMR sensors and NTC temperature-protected charging.
Is a keyboard driver required to use Rapid Trigger?
The board works out of the box, but Akko HUB (or the web driver) is where you fine-tune actuation distance, Rapid Trigger sensitivity, Snap Key, Mod-Tap, Dynamic Keystrokes, and Toggle Key behavior.
What operating systems are supported?
The 5075 V5 TMR and Akko HUB driver support Windows and macOS. Basic keyboard input also works over Bluetooth and 2.4GHz with other Bluetooth-capable devices.
Does it come with spare switches?
The standard package does not include spare switches — see the Package Contents list above. Additional Kailh Aurora or Akko Prism magnetic switches can be purchased separately.
